A little bit of Britishness... in the Falklands |

A few impressions from Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands. There is a definite air of Britishness around. The numerous flags on cars, windows and walls together with exhibits of historical guns all over town give the impression that locals are rather keen to keep it that way.
The "four-legged" arch is located in the church yard near the Stanley waterfront - it was constructed from 4 Blue Whale jaw bones! That's how big these beasts grow. After very narrowly avoiding extinction, they are now a protected species.
